So, Monday rolled around again.
I love my job. I really do. I’m lucky to be doing something I really enjoy. However my "irritation-o-meter" has been running in the red zone today. From very rude people, to know-it-alls looking so hard between the lines they’ve gone all cross eyed. It can be a little irritating when something you’ve said is misquoted and made into something more sinister but that’s the way it goes. As a fellow forum developer noted in his blog recently: It gets tiring when people claim to "know better" than we do.
Today was more about catching up with support, billing and general enquiries but I did manage to squeeze out a maintenance release of IPB which fixes many common problems. It was nice to finally nail the oddity in the bulk mailer that caused multiple emails to be sent out. Creating new features is what’s really exciting but bug fixing can be extremely satisfying. You get a real feeling of acheivement after knocking down a dozen or so bugs in a mornings work.
Still, I’m really looking forward to getting back to work on IPDynamic…

Nice entry Matt. Also I was surprised to see the release of 2.0.2 done so early, nice job :). But you have a good point, but people will always be like that. Nothing you can do.

There is something you can do about that: be happy that you are not like them, haha!

I feel for you Matt - some of the people you allude to are starting to annoy me - and it isn’t even my baby.
