Nizlopi – JCB

in Other

Every now and again something really odd appears on the TV that doesn’t suck.

Debbie and I were surfing the music channels over the weekend and this video started, called “JCB” by a band called “Nizlopi”. It’s a catchy song with a great video – and despite the unorthadox lyrics, it’s really quite beautiful.

Apparently, it was originally released in June this year before an internet campaign kick started a word-of-mouth buzz that has seen the video become the bookies favourite for this year’s Christmas number one.

Excellent stuff, very original and a great nostalgiac trip. Buy it when it comes out. If you don’t, we’ll have either Girls Aloud or Westlife topping the charts this Christmas.

I like this song as well, like you said despite its unorthodox lyrics, it really touches the right buttons.

Hope it does make the number one spot, I’m not much of a follower of the charts but it will still be good to have something other than Westlife or Girls Aloud *shudders*
:P

Or worse: Crazy Frog or a singing sheep. Seriously. Buy this single. Now. Please.

I’ve bought it too… ^_^

Were there any other good songs on the album, Matt?

That is one excellent video-clip. The song is ok, but the clip really does it. I don’t find the lyrics so odd. What I see is a song about a boy who is proud of his dad and is having a great time because he can ride with his dad. Having kids myself, these type of songs allways catch me… The same reason I like Ugly Kid Joe – Cats in the Cradle.

The song is very good and I love how the video has been done, it’s excellent.

Very catchy as well.

Dan,

Most of the songs are pretty good with a few stand-out tracks. “Girls”, “Faith”, “Freedom” and “Sing About It” are all brilliant.

> Wait, his dad is Bruce Lee? :o

No, his dad isn’t literally Bruce Lee. But for the five year old Luke, his dad “is” Bruce Lee.

It’s an 80s thing. Apparently Luke’s dad used to love Bruce Lee films and would spend hours practising the moves.
