Advertisers know this and cruelly take advantage. Take the recent ‘Dear Hollie’ advert that’s currently airing in the UK. It’s very Apple like in its advertising. It’s showing the lifestyle, not the product. The concept is a dad regularly emailing an email account he set up after his daughter was born so they can ‘look back on them together one day’. Everyone: say awwww. It gets me every time. I am such a sap.
